Guyana, Potaro-Siparuni, Eagle mountain (Potaro river), 05/08/1947, fruits. Subshrub to 3' tall, unbranched from steep, moist slopes in Dicymbe forest on lateritic soil - leaves whorled, stiff, lanc. - fruit in term. corymbose panicles, purple-black globose, thinly fleshy.
