Distribution : Rosa comm. pers. : I consider doubtful.In fact, at a following examination of all types, none of my records belong to this species. Morphological differences with valesiana are almost indistinguishable. The type of perezi and other specimens from N Africa are actually smaller and largely red coloured on the thorax, as none of the European specimens. Linsenmaier (1968) who considered perezi as a subspecies of valesiana, reported that perezi seems to be limited to N Africa: "scheint auf Nord-Afrika (Algerien, Marokko) beschränkt zu sein ; wir fanden sie als Schmarotzer von Odynerus variegatus nobilis G. — Th mit intensiv goldroten Partien, Abd dunkel purpurrot."
