-       Previously only known from Spain, this species was mentioned from Sardinia, Tuscany and Corsica by Strumia (2008). However, Strumia  (2012) described afterward, from the very same localities, the closely related Hedychridium goloensis (Strumia, 2012). It seems more likely that cupritibiale’s records refer to goloensis (= jucundum ; Rosa comm. pers.).
