Distribution : South-eastern France, in the regions Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur and Auvergne-RhôneAlpes, on both sides of the Durance valley. Most populations are reported from the Verdon, Luberon and Baronnies Provençales Natural Regional Parks, but several isolated populations exist in more southern areas, i.e. west of Cavaillon, close to Salonde-Provence, Fos-sur-Mer and Martigues and south of Saint-Maximin-la-Sainte-Baume.
