Distribution : W. Trop. Africa to S. Chad and Cabinda (Paton et al. 2019, GBIF).

Statut biogéographique : Introduite récemment en Guyane française, où elle n'a été découverte qu'en 2009 par G. Léotard. D'après Léotard & Chaline (2013) espèce en très forte progression, connu dès 2010 des Nouragues (camp scientifique isolé) et dès fin 2012 de la savane-roche Virginie. Non cultivée!
