Taxonomie : Dacryodes oblongipetala resembles D. cuspidata (Cuatrec.) Daly and a new species represented by Defler 62 (MO) because pulvinuli are present at both ends of the petiolules; the lateral leaflets are often medially asymmetrical; on the abaxial side the midvein and secondaries are prominent, and the rest of the venation is prominulous; on the adaxial side the midvein and secondaries are sunken; the inflorescence is terminal and long; and the adaxial petal surface has uncinate hairs. The three species can be differentiated by the characters in Table III.
