Autorité : d'après IPNI : Although TL-2 lists DC., Delile & F.Delaroche as authors of text,
there is no internal evidence for their authorship (Art. 46.7, Vienna
Code) and names published in the work should be attributed to Redouté.
De même d'après TROPICOS : From TL2: "Authors of text: vols. 1-4 A.-P. de Candolle (cf. his
Mémoires 497. 1862). Definite proof of de Candolle's share in writing is
provided by the Procès-Verbaux Acad. Sci. 3: 440, 491. 1806 where de
Candolle is stated to have presented "son ouvrage" with the plates by
Redouté. Vols. 5-6 F. Delaroche (fide Pritzel, Woodward). Vols. 7-8 A.
Raffeneau Delile (fide Pritzel, Woodward)." Unfortunately, Art. 46.9 of
the ICN (Shenzhen Code, 2018) only allows the use of external evidence
in determining authorship if "there is no internal evidence of
authorship". Since the ICN only accepts internal evidence and Redouté's
name appears on the title page, he is the sole author of the new names
in this work even though there is well documented evidence of authorship
externally. -- K. Gandhi (GH), 2019
