NOTES
Date de publication : Rodriguésia, 30(45): 234. 1978.
Validité : Nom invalide: pas de type cité! D'après Kallunki (2009): "In a revision of taxa that had been described as species of Raputia Aubl., Emmerich (1978) coined a new generic name Neoraputia to accommodate six species, two newly described and four previously described (one with a new variety). Neoraputia was not validly published, however. Although a Latin description was provided, the type of the name was not indicated directly or indirectly (ICBN Art. 37.1, 37.3, McNeill et al., 2006). Consequently, the six species names also are not validly published (ICBN Art. 43.1, McNeill et al., 2006). Emmerich cited “Aruba Nees & Mart.” as a synonym of Neoraputia. Nees and Martius (1823), however, clearly did not intend to describe a new genus—they assigned their three new species to Aruba Aubl. and cited Aruba guianensis Aubl. (the type of the genus) and its place of publication. Two of these three species are now recognized as Almeidea coerulea (Nees & Mart.) A. St.-Hil. ex DC. and Almeidea acuminata (Nees & Mart.) A. St.-Hil. ex DC. The third, Aruba alba, was transferred to Raputia by Engler, where it does not belong, as Emmerich astutely recognized when she circumscribed Neoraputia to accommodate it and the other species."
