Type : Guyane française, fleuve Kourou, J.B. Leblond 209 (LT: P02440487 [lectotype désigné par Molino et al., Adansonia, 44(26): 453. 13/12/2022]; ILT: G00104361, P02440486, P02440488).
Note: D'après Molino et al. (Adansonia, 44(26): 453. 13/12/2022): "Richard (1792: 110) along with the description of Blondea latifolia did not cite any specimen. Pennington (2016: 15) and Pennington and Wise (2017: 76) cited the type of this name as “French Guiana (Cayenne), fl., LeBlond 219 (holotype, P; isotype, G)”. These citations cannot be treated as an inadvertent lectotypification because, being published after 2001, they should have been accompanied by “here designated” or a similar expression. In addition, there are three specimens of Blondea latifolia at P that were collected by Leblond, with the locality “ad amnem Kourou” (Kourou River), each with a different label, no collector number, and with barcodes P02440486, P02440487, and P02440488. Another specimen of Blondea latifolia collected by Leblond, with the collector number 209 (not “219”) is at G (G00104361). Therefore, a lectotype is hereafter designated."
