Distribution : Endemic to central-western Guyana, in the Upper Potaro and Upper Mazaruni River Basins (Delprete & Lachenaud 2018). Traditionnellement considérée comme une espèce endémique du centre-ouest du Guyana, Delprete & Kirkbride (2016) indiquent énigmatiquement "Guyana and French Guiana": identification initiale erronée pour Palicourea aurantiosplendens O.Lachenaud & Delprete 2018 alors non-décrite?
