Distribution : Widespread in eastern Bolivia and Brazil, occurring in the cerrado biome, but is more typical of disturbed bushy places than cerrado proper (Wood et al. 2015).

Statut biogéographique : Récemment découvert en Guyane française (comm. pers. J. Wood 31/10/2017): monts d'Arawa, lisière de savane-roche, 05/07/2002, Granville 15048 (CAY039143 [sub Ipomoea cf. tiliacea, det. C. Sarthou 2002], ARIZ, K, P, US).
