saying (in Latin) that seeds of the species here described as
Diodia
dasycephala were collected by Sellow in Brazil and sent to Berlin, where
they were incorrectly determined as
Spermacoce repens and
S.
capitellata; in other words, the name
S. repens is not definitely
accepted by these authors." Il est clair que
Spermacoce repens Willd. ex Cham. & Schltdl. 1828 est un simple nom. nud., donc invalide. Ce nom ne semble pas avoir été validé ailleurs (simplement cité en tant que synonyme!). Auquel cas,
Spermacoce repens (DC.) Fosberg & D.Powell 1980 pourrait bien être un nom légitime...
