NOTES
Type : D'après le protologue: "Hab. in Brasilia, Salzmann (Hb. Delessert)."
Brésil, Bahia, Salzmann s.n. (LT: W18890316370 [désigné par Pastore & Abbott, Kew Bull. 67(4): 811. 2012]; ILT: CGE, FI005805, G00227246, K, P).
D'après Pastore & Abbott (2012): "Considering Chodat's original descriptions and notes on the specimen labels, two names, Polygala bahiensis and P. orobus Chodat, were based on the same collection, P. Salzmann s.n. from Bahia, Brazil. Although, Chodat cited ‘Hb Deless’, now Geneva (G), for P. bahiensis, the only known specimen noted as P. bahiensis by this author is its duplicate in Vienna (W), chosen here as lectotype. The lectotype of P. orobus was also chosen based on Chodat's note in the duplicate of Salzmann's material in herbarium G."
