Statut biogéographique : D'après C.M. Taylor (2010, Studies in American Rubiaceae): "This name was used by Standley and various other authors for a morphologically heterogeneous group of plants that are here classified into several species, including N. macrophylla, N. tolimensis, N. anomothyrsa, N. steyermarkiana, and N. montana."
