Distribution : Répartition très mal-connue: vicariante amazonienne de Crudia spicata (Aubl.) Schreb. ex Forsyth f. 1794? Connue de la Guyane et du Pará [Marajó] (GBIF, Amshoff 1953).

Orthographe : Publié comme "Crudya" orth. var.

Taxonomie : Taxon finalement relégué à la synonymie de Crudia spicata (Aubl.) Willd. 1799 par son descripteur (Bentham 1870, p. 238). Néanmoins Amshoff, auteure éclairée, apporte des arguments très solides en faveur de leur maintient en tant qu'espèces indépendantes (Meded. Bot. Mus. Herb. Rijks Univ. Utrecht, 52(1): [1-]13[-78]. 1939): "C. bracteata Benth. in Hook. Journ. Bot. II (1840) 101 (type Martin s.n. [K; P]) was afterwards in Fl. Bras. XV. 2 (1870) 238 in obs. identified by Bentham with C. spicata (Aubl.) Willd., but is a quite distinct species. The chief distinguishing characters are: Leaves 5-7-foliate, glabrous; racemes glabrous; receptacle campanulate; ovary pilose at the sutures; pod glabrous. It has been collected in Fr. Guiana and Pará."
