Matériel type : Dans Grolle (1995), il est mentionné : "Fide Evans 1906 p. 18 "Apparently through an error the type locality of the species was given as "Bourbon". An easily recognizable taxon, which also today is reliably known only from the Neotropics, where it is widespread in the Caribbean and adjacent continental areas of C. and northern S. America"."
