Type : Nom de remplacement illégitime et superflu pour Mimusops imbricaria Willd. 1799, et donc in fine pour Imbricaria borbonica J.F.Gmel. 1791, dont l'épithète, légitime et prioritaire, était disponible dans le genre Mimusops L. 1753.
