NOTES
Statut biogéographique : D'après Poncy (in Barneby et al. 2011): "Widespread in S and C America and the Caribbean; morphologically very close to I. marginata, however, I. marginata occurs in dense rainforest while I. laurina is to be found in drier habitats or close to them (e.g. in gallery forests), including marsh forests, scrubland on white sands, secondary forest; Pennington (1997) considered that "it is one of the few [Inga] species which will tolerate relatively dry areas..."; in the Guianas known only from northern Guyana (one collection of Leprieur (G), supposedly from French Guiana, is of doubtfull origin), where it seems to be mainly cultivated raising the question whether the few specimens collected "from the wild" might be adventitious (GU: 9; FG: 1?)."
