Inga guadalupensis (Pers.) Desv., J. Bot. 3: 70. 1814 [...].
Inga guadeloupensis Sastre, Biogeographica 72 (4): 184. 1996. [...] Request submitted by K. M. Challis (Kew). Both species are from Guadeloupe in the West Indies, not Guadalupe off the coast of Mexico. Neither is mentioned in T. D. Pennington, The Genus
Inga: Botany (1997). According to Pennington (
pers. comm.) the Desvaux name refers to a species not now included in
Inga. By a vote of 13 : 2 the Committee recommends that the two names should be treated as homonyms.".
