Taxonomie : D'après Knapp (2002, in Fl. Neotropica, p. 366): "This species belongs to subgen. Leptostemonum, and has also been called Solanum anthropophagorum Seem. (see Whalen, 1984). It is a member of the S. dunalianum group (Whalen, 1984), which are all unarmed taxa occurring from Australia to Polynesia."
