Neotypus: (hic lectotypus correctus): The illustration of a group of figures depicting Late Spider Orchid under the name “Orchis fuciflora” in HALLER Hist. Stirp. Indig. Helvet., vol. 2 (1768), t. 24, figs. 1-4, 6 and 8 (excluding figs. 5 and 7 and the illustration of Ophrys musciflora). This illustration was previously incorrectly designated as lectotype by CRIBB & WOOD in Orchidee (Hamburg) (1981: vol. 32, 28). The illustration of the Orchis fuciflora habitus in this plate is assumed to be fig. 1 although it is not labelled as such.
