NOTES
Homonymie : D'après Tropicos: "Combining Mimosa ynga into Inga does not technically create a tautonym, as has been the tradtional interpretation, including the interpretation by Martius, who proposed the nom. nov., Inga edulis, to reflect the widespread use of the sarcostemma (aril) around the seeds for human consumption. Although technically a superfluous name, Inga edulis Mart. has been so long used as a legitimate replacement name, that in the spirit of Article 53.3 (“If established practice has been to treat two similar names as homonyms, this practice is to be continued if it is in the interest of nomenclatural stability.” ) this should continue to be the current practice. [GD, 7 Oct 2016]. Nomenclature Committee ruled that Mimosa inga and Mimosa ynga are sufficiently alike to be confused [see Applequist 2019]." D'après Molino et al. (Adansonia, 44(26): [345-]518[-903]. 13/12/2022): "Mimosa ynga Vell. and M. inga L. have been ruled as confusable by the Nomenclature Committee for Vascular Plants (Applequist 2019). The former is therefore to be treated as a later homonym."
