Matériel type : Extrait Miettinen et al. 2017 "Our study of the type specimen shows that R. davidii is instead a synonym of Ceriporia metamorphosa (=Riopa metamorphosa, Phanerochaetaceae). The species called Ceriporia davidii (=Riopa davidii) by Pieri and Rivoire (1997) turns out to be an undescribed member of the Ceriporia clade in the Irpicaceae. The new species, named here as C. pierii, and
four other newly described species form a well-supported group within the Ceriporia clade (Figure 2)."
