Type : Guyana, Potaro River, Kaieteur Falls, by stream in high forest, descending from savana to falls, ca. 400 m, 05/09/1937, growing with spp. of Rapateaceae, only this specimen collected, no others seen with inflorescence. Growing with spp. of Rapateaceae. Leaves very long acuminate. Heads brown. Stigmas 2. Styles 2. N.Y.
