Synonymie : "The species was originally reported from this island as Philonotis. cf. angustifolia Kaal. (Selkirk et al., 2008) but the voucher specimens represent a quite typical expression of P. polymorpha. Philonotis angustifolia was originally described from Iˆles Crozet (Kaalaas, 1912) but the type material is, in fact, closely related, or probably identical, to Philonotis tenuis (Taylor) Reichdt."
