Distribution : Semble endémique du Guyana (Wurdack et al. 1993, GBIF). En dehors des types et paratypes, ne semble connu que d'une seule autre donnée (McDowell 4908).

Guyana, Bartica-Potaro Road, Mile 114, subshrub of roadside and open places on lateritic ironstone gravel, 06/03/1949, fleurs. All parts hairy. Flowers in terminal scorpioid cymes. Inflorescence scarlet. Hypanthium very hairy. Flowers yellow.
