C. langsdorfii, for which it would be, if truly synonymous, the earliest specific name. The description clearly indicates a member of
Chamaecrista sect.
Xerocalyx, and the two pairs of elongately oblique-obovate leaflets pUose on both faces and ciliate are such as might be found in our
Ch. desvauxii var.
