| - The parasite worms were systematically searched for on 19 marmots from the Massif de la Vanoise accidentally died. The digestive tract was frequently parasitized, sometimes plentifully, by Ctenotaenia marmotae and Ascaris laevis. The intestinal parasitage was well tolerated. A mass infestation by Capillaria hepatica with elimination of eggs in the gall could be observed. That parasite had never been mentioned in the Alpine marmot until now.
