  • From 23 November 2014 to 7 April 2015 a Northern Hawk-Owl was observed in the Northern Black Forest on the top of the Badener Hobe at around 1000 m a.s.l. It was the 180th record for Germany, and the 8th for Baden-Wurttemberg. Only three records are known for Switzerland, and at least two for Alsace. Mice Apodemus sp. and Field Vole Microtus agrestis were confirmed as prey.
