Nomenclature : Selon Tropicos: " proposed as a combination based on Echites hoffmannseggianus Steud. 1840, but that is a nom. illeg. superfl. for Echites macranthus Roem. & Schult. 1818; must therefore be construed as a nomen novum or new taxon name but, as such, it is illegitimate according to ICN Art. 52.1 because it definitely includes the type of Echites macranthus Roem. & Schult. (cited in synonymy), the epithet of which ought to have been adopted."
