Habitat ad truncos arborum muscis repletos in Montibus summis Jamaicae. Etiam in Insula St. Helenae lectum vidi.
Radices et Caulis praecedentis, sed minus subdivisus, plerumque supra medium 2-partitus, rarius dichotomus, rarissime simplex; teres, strictus, foliosus. Folia sessilia, sparsa, approximata 6-8-faria, lineari-lanceolata, longitudine 1/2-3/4 partis pollicis, duas lin. lata, utrinque glabra, margine integra, subcartilaginea, planiuscula, subcarinata, patentia, saepe adpressa, fere membranacea. Fructificationes ut in
L. squarroso.
Obs. Affinis
L. selagini; folia vero majora, planiora et plerumque laxiora habet. Differt a sequente [
L. dichotomum Jacq.]: Caule strictiore, foliis latioribus, subimbricatis magisve erectis rigidisve.
